District branding

EKP 's-Hertogenbosch

Placemaking strategy and visual identity for a new and dynamic city district in Den Bosch

For an urban development project in the railway zone of Den Bosch, Edhv crafted an identity for EKP, a site with a rich history as a Dutch mail distribution hub. EKP is set to transform into a predominantly residential area with a creative edge, strategically located near the central station and adjacent to the river Dieze. Central to this vision is the Art Academy, which enhances the area’s artistic vibe.

Early on in the process we collaborated with Skonk to refine and tailor a fitting placemaking strategy to engage the community, merging EKP’s historical roots with its future vision to create a buzzing district for dynamic urbanites.

The playful and distinctive identity reflects EKP’s residential and creative aspects.

We created a playful brand that could evolve along the way. Starting out as a guerilla type of campaign for brand activation and awareness. Then, it progressed to the marketing and communication.

Ultimately, becoming a complete and unified brand identity for the district as a whole.
